When choosing a plan, consider the total cost, including premiums and service costs.

All plans cover preventive screenings fully but differ in deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. Choose a plan that balances coverage and out-of-pocket costs to fit your budget. The plan comparison highlights key features to help you decide.

Medical Plan Comparison

Cigna PPO Medical Plans

The Cigna PPO plans lets you choose between in-network providers at negotiated rates or out-of-network providers at a possible higher cost. Copays apply to select services, except in-network preventive care, which is fully covered.

Other services may require meeting the annual deductible and coinsurance. After reaching the out-of-pocket maximum, the plan covers all eligible expenses for the rest of the year. You’ll save the most by using in-network providers.

Cigna High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with Health Savings Account (HSA)

With the Cigna HDHP, you can use in-network or out-of-network providers. You pay for services until you reach the annual deductible, except for fully covered in-network preventive care. After meeting the deductible, the plan covers a percentage of services (coinsurance). Once you hit the out-of-pocket maximum, the plan covers all eligible expenses for the rest of the year.

Enrolling in the HDHP makes you eligible for a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for health expenses with pre-tax dollars. See the HSA section for more details.

Prescription Drug Coverage

Prescription drug coverage is included in the medical plan you select. Regardless of which plan you choose, you’ll save the most money by using a participating pharmacy. You can access a list of pharmacies through your plan’s website or by calling member services.

High Deductible Health Plans: If you enroll in an HDHP, you will pay the full cost for prescription drugs until you meet your deductible. Once you meet your plan’s deductible, you share the cost of prescription drugs with the plan.
