Sickness (Daily Indemnity) Insurance
Sickness (Daily Indemnity) Insurance provides financial support should you become ill and unable to work.
Eligibility
Employees of Databricks Switzerland are eligible from their date of hire.
Enrollment
Regular and regular fixed-term employees are automatically enrolled in the plan on the date of hire.
Should your potential benefit payout exceed the policy's free-cover limit of 300,000 CHF, you will be required to complete medical underwriting. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the potential benefit payout being capped at 300,000 CHF.
Contributions
Databricks pays 100% of the premium for this benefit.
Coverage
Should you suffer an illness that prevents you from working a daily allowance of 80% of the insured salary¹ is provided by this insurance*. An illness is defined to be any impairment of physical or mental health that is not the result of an accident and which requires medical examination or treatment and results in incapacity for work.
This insurance also provides a maternity benefit that pays a daily sum equal to 80% of your insured salary¹ for 16 weeks after your child is born.

¹Insured salary is the last known annual salary subject to AHV (OASI) contributions.
