Life & Disability Insurance
Life and disability Insurance provides financial protection for you and your family. In the event of your death or permanent disability, this plan provides a financial benefit to you or your beneficiaries.
Eligibility
All regular and fixed-term employees* of Databricks Switzerland that have an annual base salary of at least 22,050 CHF are automatically enrolled as of their date of hire by the payroll provider.
*Fixed-term employees must be contracted to work for Databricks Switzerland for a minimum of 3 months to be eligible.
Enrollment
Eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the plan on the date of hire.
Coverage
¹Pensionable salary is the last known annual salary subject to AHV (OASI) contributions, minus the coordination offset (equal to CHF 26,460 in 2025). The last known annual salary subject to AHV (OASI) contributions includes actual commissions, regular bonuses, car allowance, and other pay elements subject to AHV contributions. For the 1st year of employment, On Target Earnings (OTE) is used for pension contributions. OTE is defined as base salary + target commissions and/or regular/quarterly bonus, but excludes monthly car allowance and other allowances. Remuneration paid only occasionally is not included, such as one-off, irregular, or unforeseeable bonuses/gratuities.
*There is a waiting period of 24 months for disability claims (the waiting period begins at the point of a permanent disability being declared.)
- Voluntary contributions that you made to the pension plan are guaranteed in the event of your death.
- Following 3 months of disability, a waiver of premiums is provided. This means that the insurer will cover the cost of your pension contributions.
Contributions
Databricks pays 100% of the premium for this benefit.
