Accident Insurance
Accident insurance provides coverage in the event of injury through an accident occurring at work or in private life.
The accident insurance provides coverage as follows:
- A lump sum payment of 1 x the annual base salary paid to beneficiaries in case of death.
- A lump sum payment of 2 x the annual base salary paid to the employee in case of total dismemberment.
- A percentage of the sum insured paid to the employee in case of permanent partial dismemberment.
- Up to €10,000 for reimbursement for a standard funeral or cremation of the employee.
- The maximum benefit payable is €350,000 per accident.
Commuting Insurance (WEGAS) provides coverage for employer’s liability, related to damage suffered by employees participating in road traffic while travelling for business purposes and commuting to / from work / home. The maximum benefit payable is €2,500,000 per claim.
Enrollment
Eligible employees are automatically enrolled in the plans from their date of hire. If an employee is not actively at work, cover will commence from the day of returning to full-time active employment.
Eligibility
All employees of Databricks Netherlands (including fixed-term contractors and interns) are eligible from their date of hire, provided they are actively at work.
