Am I covered for personal travel?
Personal trips are not covered under the BTA policy unless they are an extension of a planned business trip (please see the next FAQ)
Will this plan cover me if I choose to add personal vacation days onto a business trip?
Personal travel (noted as Sojourn or Personal Deviation in the policy document) that is an extension of an authorised business trip is covered under the BTA policy. The personal trip must not exceed 14 days in total and the travel radius from the business trip destination cannot exceed 100 miles.
Will this plan cover my family if they are joining me on a business trip for leisure?
Employee’s family members are not covered by this plan unless Databricks has requested their attendance at an event or has authorized and paid for their travel.
Will this plan cover a business guest (customer, supplier) if they are joining me on a business trip? (e.g. a conference)

What happens if I become hospitalized while on a business trip?
Contact the travel assistance team (using the phone number on this ID card.) They will assist you with admission to the hospital and guarantee of payment. Please note that this benefit only applies when you are traveling on business outside of your Country of Permanent Residence or Country of Permanent Assignment.
What happens if my luggage or my personal items (i.e. clothing, accessories) become lost or stolen when I travel on a business trip?
Contact AIG Claims for loss of Personal Property or Business Equipment Claim Forms (using the email address on this ID card.). AIG will reimburse the cost of replacing Personal Property or Business Equipment that is lost, stolen or accidentally damaged while on a business trip.
If the loss occurs while you are traveling with a common carrier, you must first file a lost personal property report with the carrier. For stolen items, a police report must be filed with the local authorities.
Does this insurance cover pregnancy-related emergencies?
This insurance covers any medical emergency arising from pregnancy whilst you are on a business trip outside of your Country of Permanent Residence or Country of Permanent Assignment. Coverage is not provided for routine prenatal care in the absence of an emergency injury or sickness as defined in the Policy.
